Miniature Agnostic Duels

What is M.A.D.?

Miniature Agnostic Duels (M.A.D.) is a Tabletop battle system using miniatures that the players provide on their own. The idea is that people who like Wargaming, but either don't have the time or can't afford huge armies to field, can have a chance to use their beloved Miniature models from any other game or any other system and have a quick brawl against another player, in a 1v1 or even 2v2 style.

Unlike most tabletop wargames where players build a large army to bring to battle, MAD is intended to be a simple and compact experience that can be played on the fly — each player uses ONE miniature figure to play. Any Miniature the players own can be used; that is the joy of Miniature Agnostic games.

The first step in starting a MAD Game is to determine the terrain being played on. Players may use a play mat, or any other terrain or board they see fit. Once decided, this area is known as the Battle Zone.

Each player presents the Miniature they intend to Duel with and explains its general Lore, History, or intended Power. Both players then launch MAD on their mobile devices and proceed to Create Character, affiliating their Miniature with one or two of the 13 Factions. This provides a list of relatable CARDS — Feats, Abilities, and Items — and generates the Character Stats on the Gameplay Sheet.

The entire game system, which includes the Rules, Factions, Cards, Gameplay Sheets, Music, and Counters are all included with the MAD Mobile App, which will be available for purchase and download for Android and iOS devices soon!

The app includes a Dice roller, a Round Counter, and Action Points trackers, but the players are encouraged to use physical dice, tokens, and counters of their own to keep that Tabletop feel and vibe!
